During the 2026 American Rocketry Challenge (ARC) National Finals and Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) “Rockets on the Hill” events in Washington, D.C., members of our Southern California ARC teams had the honor of meeting Congresswoman Young Kim (CA-40).

The meeting provided students with an opportunity to share their work in aerospace engineering, model rocketry, and STEM education. Students introduced their competition rockets, discussed their engineering design process, and exchanged ideas about the future of aerospace innovation and student involvement in the industry.

This year, all five Southern California teams mentored by our program successfully advanced to the ARC National Finals, with four teams attending and competing at the national competition.

We are deeply grateful to Congresswoman Kim and her staff for supporting student aerospace education and encouraging the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators.
